What makes Los Angeles Steam Clean different from other carpet cleaners?
A few things. First, our pricing is transparent — the quote you receive is the price you pay. No hidden fees, no surprise charges. Second, you're getting the most experienced and professional service in town. From the initial conversation to cleaning your home, you will feel the value and security every step of the way. You're not getting a random subcontractor, and if you're lucky enough, the owner himself will clean for you. Third, we're IICRC certified, which is the gold standard in the cleaning and restoration industry. Not every company invests in that level of training and certification.
What is your cleaning process?
We use a professional hot water extraction method to clean carpets, rugs, and upholstery — also known as steam cleaning. Every job starts with a walkthrough so we can assess the fabric, point out any pre-existing issues, and set honest expectations. From there, we pre-treat with eco-friendly cleaning solutions, agitate problem areas and high-traffic zones, then run our truck-mounted or portable extraction system. That system pulls with significantly more heat and suction than any rental machine — it's what separates a professional result from a DIY one. We finish with post-inspection to see if it needs more cleaning and grooming, if needed. The whole process leaves your carpet cleaner, healthier, and drying faster than you'd expect.
Will you be able to remove every stain?
We'll always be upfront with you — most stains come out, but not every single one. Some stains, like bleach marks, certain dyes, or old pet stains that have set deep into the backing, may have caused permanent damage to the fibers themselves. That's not a cleaning issue — that's likely discoloration. What we can promise is that during our walkthrough, we'll assess every spot and stain and tell you what to expect, what can come out, and what might not. No surprises or overpromising. But the vast majority of stains we encounter are removed or significantly improved.
What kind of cleaning products do you use?
We use professional-grade, eco-friendly cleaning solutions that are non-toxic and safe for children and pets. Our products are specifically formulated for hot water extraction systems and are effective at breaking down dirt, oils, allergens, and stains without harsh chemicals. We also carry specialty spotting agents for tougher situations like red wine, coffee, ink, and pet accidents — all still safe and non-toxic.
Are your cleaning products safe for kids and pets?
Absolutely. Every product we use is non-toxic, eco-friendly, and safe for your family and pets. Our solutions are effective on dirt, stains, and allergens without introducing anything harmful into your home.
What can you do to maintain my carpets after cleaning?
We offer fabric protector applications, similar to scotchgard. This adds a protective layer to your fabrics that gives you a better chance at repelling stains. It also helps you extract more dirt when vacuuming.
Should you clean my rug on-site or off-site?
It depends on the rug, its condition, and size. If your rug has moderate stains, foot traffic, and odor, then ideally we clean it on-site in your home. This is especially convenient for synthetic rugs and most natural rugs like wool. It's quick and comes with great results. If your rug has more severe issues, then we may recommend having it cleaned at our facility. This will be especially important for more delicate natural fibers like silk, linen, cotton blends, fine or antiques where you want extra care. We get to spend more time on your rugs to get them to the best condition possible. You also avoid drying time this way.
Do you offer pick-up and delivery for rug cleaning, or do I have to drop it off?
We offer pick-up and delivery for rugs. We pick it up, clean it in a controlled environment with proper drying time, and deliver it back to you looking and smelling fresh. The pick-up option is ideal for bigger rugs that you can't carry. Otherwise, feel free to drop it off at our facility for a smaller rate.
Where is the rug cleaning facility and how long is turnaround time?
The facility is located at 2006 S. La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90034 and it is open on weekdays from 9 AM to 4 PM. If you're in the San Fernando Valley, you can drop it off at 17808 Bromley Ct, Encino, CA 91316, but call first to coordinate a drop-off time there. Orders take 2-5 business days to complete.
What areas in Los Angeles do you serve?
We mainly serve several areas across Los Angeles. The Westside/West LA (Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Westwood, Brentwood, Bel Air, Pacific Palisades, West Hollywood, Century City, etc.). San Fernando Valley (Sherman Oaks, Encino, Studio City, Tarzana, Woodland Hills, Calabasas, North Hollywood, Burbank, Glendale etc.), Central LA (Hollywood, Downtown, Los Feliz, Hancock Park, Silver Lake, Echo park, Koreatown, Mid-City, etc), and Pasadena. If you're not sure whether you're in our service area, just give us a call at 310-773-9312 — we're happy to check!
What are your business hours?
We're available every day from 9 AM to 4 PM, including most holidays. We know life doesn't stop for weekends, and neither do spills and stains. If you need to schedule outside of those hours, reach out and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
Do I need to move my furniture before you arrive?
You don't need to move heavy furniture — we'll work around large pieces like beds, dressers, and entertainment centers. If there are smaller items like dining chairs, floor lamps, or side tables, moving those out of the way beforehand does help us work more efficiently and give you a more thorough clean. If you're not sure what to move, don't stress — we'll figure it out together during the walkthrough.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept credit cards, debit cards, Zelle, Venmo, Apple Pay, cash, and checks — all forms really. Whatever is most convenient for you. Payment is collected on-site after the job is complete, so you can see the results before you pay. No deposits required for residential jobs.
What are your payment terms?
Payment is due at the time of service. Once we finish the job and do a final walkthrough together to make sure you're happy with the results, we collect payment on-site. For commercial clients and property managers on recurring contracts, we can discuss invoicing terms.
How long does fabric take to dry after cleaning?
Carpet and rugs typically take 4 to 6 hours, though it can be faster depending on airflow and conditions. Upholstery and mattresses only take 2-3 hours. Our machines extract significantly more water than most models, which means less moisture left behind and quicker dry times. You could open windows or run fans after we're done to speed things up.
Do you offer free estimates?
Yes. Give us a call or send a message with some details about what you need cleaned — the type of surface, approximate square footage, and any specific concerns like stains or pet odor — and we'll get you a quote quickly. For most residential jobs, we can quote over the phone. For larger or more complex projects, we're happy to come take a look in person at no charge.
Cleaning Hints and Tips
Combine our professional cleaning with your DIY care to give your carpet the complete attention it deserves. Explore some of the important tips and cleaning advice from our experts, helping you make your DIY cleaning more efficient and easier.
Clean Spills Promptly
Spilled or dropped something on your carpet? Don’t put off the cleaning! Attend to the spill right then by blotting up the excess and treating the spill for a quick spot cleanup. Prompt cleanup eases it up and saves the stain from setting in.
Invest in Professional Cleaning Annually
Even with regular routine cleanups, never miss a deep cleaning by professionals at least once a year. DIY cleaning can take care of normal upkeep, and expert cleaning will ensure your carpet gets fully refreshed, stays spotless, and lasts longer!
Avoid Overwetting
Whether you’re spot cleaning or deep cleaning with a shampooer at home, avoid using too much water. Since household machines aren’t powerful at extracting maximum water, the moisture can seep deeper into the backing and can lead to mold issues later.
Test the Solutions Before Use
Different solutions react differently with different stains and carpet types. We recommend testing a cleaning solution on a hidden area of your carpet before you use it for spot cleaning. That ensures safety and minimizes the chances of damage if the solution discolors or color-bleeds your carpet.
